At one of the largest mushroom substrate producers in Europe more then 8.000 tons of substrate is being produced on a weekly basis. During this process ammonia and odour are released that cause nuisance to the environment. In an earlier stage AEC Systems supplied the technique for an air cleaning unit at the composting site, which was to everybody's satisfaction. Therefor we were asked to supply the most suitable air cleaning system for the expansion.
SOLUTION AEC SYSTEMS
After various tests on site with our mobile test air scrubber we advised the client a multi stage scrubber for the composting expansion. The multistage scrubber technique cleans the air efficiently.
The system contains:
- a double wall storage tank for outdoor installation
- a multi stage gas scrubber
- air collect room
- a chimney
- complete automation (Siemens) of all components
ADVANTAGES OF THE AEC MULTI STAGE SCRUBBER
The water packages of the multi stage scrubber have an extra large surface area and offer a low air resistance at the filter during the cleaning of the air flow. A unique pump technology enables a continuous irrigation of the unit so that it keeps the complete system clean. The pump unit also lowers energy costs. The system, like all products of AEC Systems, is easily accessible and therefore maintenance friendly. These are all advantages why the composting plant chose AEC Systems.
Additional asset is that the drainwater from the scrubber is added to the substrate in the composting process. A complete recycling solution!
